What is a Wig/ Unit
All BeaBeautiful units are made with our top of the line beautiful bundles and lace closures. Attached to the wigs are combs and a elastic band to ensure a secure hold. These wigs can be sewn down or worn securely and comfortably for everyday removal. Wearing our units promotes healthy hair by allowing you to give your hair a break from the tension and pulling of everyday styling and provides easy access to care for your hair underneath. It is best to have a proper foundation of your hair being braided down so your unit can lay nice and flat. What is a U part wig?
This type of wig is very close to a traditional sew in. Simply pull some of your hair through the U shape part at the top and use the necessary tools to blend your hair with the texture of your wig. This unit does not require a lace closure or frontal and is secured with clips, combs or can be sewn down.
For straight hair: Treat this hair as if it were you own. Use good quality products and a quality shampoo and conditioner. It is best that you paddle brush your hair everyday from the ends and work your way up. Do not ever sleep on wet hair, this will lead to matting and further damage of the hair. Before going to bed, gently brush the hair from the ends to the base and you can either wrap your hair or use a scrunchy or loose ponytail holder and tie your hair into a ponytail or bun and sleep in a satin scarf and bonnet cap.
For Curly and Wavy hair: You need to apply a light oil, curl defining or curl control cream while the hair is wet. This way it will stop the hair from frizzing and lock the product into the pattern of the hair. Do not ever sleep on wet hair; this will lead to matting and further damage of the hair. At night, it is best to twist the hair into 9 separate twists (to keep the tangles against your back from daily wear to a minimum) and follow with a satin scarf and bonnet.
Can the hair be colored?
Yes, this hair is 100% virgin human hair but when chemically altering the hair, it can possibly damage it. Please be careful while coloring or get it professionally colored. If the color is not done with caution, the cuticle can become damaged, leading to brittleness, breakage, dryness and tangling. There is no reviving from chemically damaged hair.
How much hair do I need?
We suggest for lengths 12-16" you will need 2-3 bundles. For lengths 18-24" you will need 3-4 bundles. For lengths 26-30" you will need 4-5 bundles or more. This can be used if you are using a frontal, closure or neither.
What is a closure or frontal?
A closure is a 4x4, 5x5, or 6x6 inch piece lace where hair strands are tied on to the lace resembling your scalp and natural hair line along with your hair bundles. They are applied where you want your parting or bangs to be so you will not have to have any of your natural hair left out.
A frontal is a lace that goes from ear to ear and acts as a hair line. It is an advanced version of a closure. These are meant to be bonded on but it is not a required. This option is more versatile as far as parting goes. It is best that you try a closure before trying a frontal because they can be a lot of maintenance and work.
Can the hair be curled or straightened?
Yes, it is always important to make sure the hair is clean and to use a heat protectant or a light serum before using your flat iron or curling iron to style your hair. (Avoid alcohol based products to avoid drying out your hair) It is best to avoid flat ironing and curling your extensions too much. Rolling your hair in flexi rods at night will help maintain your curls and limit the amount of heat you have to use on your hair daily. It is important to use the proper heat setting to not cause heat damage leading to breakage and dryness. Use styling products minimally to avoid build up.
Can I shampoo the hair?
Yes. The best care you can provide for your 100% virgin human hair is to keep it moisturized and clean. Best shampoos are sulfate free and have a pH balance no higher than 7. Before washing your extensions, paddle brush the hair and remove all tangles starting from the ends and working your way up. Distribute a good amount of shampoo evenly throughout the hair. Carefully wash twice with warm water; it is best not to massage the hair. Follow with a good amount of conditioner and comb through the hair with a wide tooth comb starting from the ends and work your way up; let it sit for 5 minutes and then rinse out with cool water. I personally paddle brush and air dry over night (when the wig/ hair bundles are not attached to your head) but for time sake, you can blow dry on low heat setting. Once hair is dry, use heat protectant, serum, or light oil and style as desired. Keeping your extensions clean is very important to making them last longer. Following these steps will surely increase the longevity of your unit and bundles to 1 year plus.
Is 613 (Blonde) hair high maintenance?
Yes, the hair tends to be a little more fragile than pre-colored hair. The hair is still a great quality hair and is in good condition. Blonde hair will require light hydrating everyday and a weekly shampoo regimen as stated above.
Does the hair shed?
You will see a few hairs in your brush here and there or after finger combing but nothing alarming as long as you are keeping up with the hair in a proper manner. Any hair that has been manufactured to be stitched is entitled to experiencing minimum shedding, which is normal. To avoid most shedding, it is best to seal your wefts and to avoid as much as possible cutting the wefts.
